The National Observatory of Athens (NOA) can provide transport services for observers, and official visitors from the suburban railway station at Kiato to Kryoneri Observatory. Official visitors and observers are kindly asked to contact NOA before their arrival in order to arrange for their transportation to the Observatory. Although there are many different ways to reach these places below we provide information on the easiest options.
Athens/Piraeus to Kiato & Athens Airport (El. Venizelos) to Kiato by train
Kiato railway station is directly connected to PIRAEUS and ATHENS via the suburban railway. NERATZIOTISSA station is a transfer station to Kiato for the suburban AIRPORT-ATHENS-PIRAEUS line. The duration of the trip PIRAEUS-KIATO is about 40 minutes.

Transfer by Bus
You can reach Kiato (via Athens-Corinth-Patras national road) by bus and then follow the provincial road to Kryoneri (distance from Kiato about 15km) following the route Kryoneri- Souli-Stymfalia. There are sparse bus routes from Kiato to Kryoneri on the route Kiato – Souli – Kryoneri – Paradisi – Gonousa – Titani – Bozikas – Kiato. For this reason, please check the itineraries at the local bus station before your departure.
